LITERARY SERVICES: BigScore represents authors to both general and religious publishers. It markets all book rights including print, film, translation, audio, and commercial (licensing). The BigScore staff is very selective in the authors it takes on, since it subsequently works very hard to craft each author's work into a marketable book proposal.

REPRESENTS: 50-75 clients. 30% of our clients are new/previously unpublished writers.

MEET THE AGENTS

AGENT: David A. Robie
Dave has been in the publishing business for over 25 years as either President of BigScore Productions or of a nationally-known publishing house. He has created book ideas that have gone on to be national best-sellers and have sold in Sams, WalMart, Barnes & Noble, and Borders. He enjoys fly-fishing, golf, camping, and performing on stage as a singer / actor / and mover (i.e. singer's word for dancer).

AGENT: Sharon Hanby-Robie
Sharon has been in the publishing industry for 10 years. She has worked as a Managing Editor, Assistant Acquisitions Editor, Director of Rights Sales, and VP of Marketing. In addition, Sharon is the author of the My Name Isn't Martha series of books (Pocket/Simon & Schuster). Her wide-ranging experience in the industry has given her a unique perspective. She has been a regular contributor on NBC's Later Today show and featured on The Today Show; QVC Shopping Network; HGTV's Decorating with Style, Interiors by Design, Smart Solutions; Discovery Channel's Interior Motives; and The Maurey Povich Show, as well as host of Scripps Network Ask DIY show. Sharon's media experience and connections give her an insight into trends and allow her to coach authors. In her spare time, she knits.

TERMS

Our agency receives 15% on domestic sales, 20-25% where a co-agent is involved (film, foreign, etc.). We offer a 6-month written contract.
